In my twenties I was diagnosed with alopecia and through the years I have searched for products that would be comfortable, have a natural appearance and give me confidence in living my normal lifestyle. In this journey, I began visiting local wig shops, specialty hair replacement salons that provided custom wigs and finally traveled around the country to see if I could find the perfect solution to my problem.
My determination to find the best manufacturers of medical specialty wigs led me to help other women that shared the same frustrations and challenges. I hoped that the lessons I had learned and knowledge that I gained from the difficult years that I had experienced could actually help make someone else’s journey a little easier by providing some practical solutions that would give them confidence.
Over the years, I became acquainted with oncologists and dermatologists that became invaluable mentors. They provided me with factual information and were very willing to speak and interact at support group meetings.
